Panasonic to launch waterproof and dustproof Android phone with ultra-slim in March 2012

Panasonic has grand plans with it’s smartphone which is expected to hit Europe by March 2012. The company has released few details along with some pictures of the Panasonic prototype Android phone. The device uses a 4.3 inch qHD OLED display with a really slim bezel.The design will be  ultra-slim and sport a D-shape.The front shows off the Panasonic branding along with the Menu , home and Back keys. Since waterproof phones are pretty common in Japan , Panasonic is bringing its expertise to the table and claims that it’s first smartphone will be waterproof and dustproof.


Here is another photo which shows a rear camera and NFC support. There are also volume keys and a power button on the side. The company aims to sell 1.5 million smartphones in Europe next year and by 2016 it aims to sell 15 million units, including 9 million in Europe, Asia, China, and the United States and 6 million in Japan The device will be manufactured in Panasonic’s factory in Malaysia.No details of pricing or exact availability are mentioned but we expect to play with this device at MWC 2012. Samsung to launched the new tablet 11.6 inch

Dec 10 South Korean multinational conglomerate Samsung is reportedly working on a tablet with a thinner bezel and is likely to launch it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year. Samsung is working on an 11.6-inch screen-size tablet, but it will be approximately  the same size as the current wide-bezelled Galaxy Tab 10.1-inch and feature 2560 x 1600 resolution. The current Apple iPad 2 offer 1024 x 768 pixels in a 9.7-inch screen.


Apple and Samsung have been locked in a battle over patents and any revisions to the Samsung product range are likely to make it less similar to the iPad 2, the Telegraph reports. The new tablet will run Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and offer a 16:10 aspect ratio while running from a dual-core Exynos 5250 processor clocked at 2GHz. (ANI)

Chevrolet Beat Diesel Price will go up by Rs 15000

Chevrolet Beat diesel, which is GM’s provide the best selling products of all time in Indian territory to go expensive by Rs 15,000 from January, 2012. Announcing the company’s price hike plans, P Balendran, Vice President- GM India said that in the case of Beat diesel, company had kept an introductory price, but now having left with no options due to rising commodity prices and currency fluctuations, hike has become quite essential.




Chevrolet Beat diesel has proved it to be one of the most fuel economical cars of India by offering a decent mileage close to 20kmph on an average (Highway+ city road conditions). Its efficient dynamics have made it more adorable except its exclusively sporty look.

Therefore, the mileage + diesel factor is going to keep it giving that added advantage, at such a crucial time when almost every of the car maker has made its price hike plans official. The other products of GM India including Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet U-VA, Chevrolet Optra, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Captiva and Chevrolet Cruze too to get expensive from January, 2012.

Maruti to unveil Wagon R and Palette small cars at Auto Expo 2012

In a bid to save its continuously decreasing market share, the Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki is looking forward to roll-out new mini car in the below 800CC segment. The new small cars, which have got fame as ‘Kei’ cars in the Japanese market, come powered by a 660 cc petrol engine. The line-up of Kei cars, which will be showcased by the Maruti Suzuki at the forth coming International Auto Expo in the National Capital in the month of January 2012, will include - MR Wagon and Palette. Both of these models are already available for sale in the Japanese market in the portfolio of Suzuki.



In a recent statement, Maruti Suzuki India’s managing executive officer (marketing & sales), Mayank Pareek, made it clear that while these small cars will be powered by a 660CC petrol engine, these will not be low priced cars as Tata Nano. He added that the company is planning to bring these small cars at the Delhi International Auto Expo so that the feedback of customers can be studied. He however maintained that the company has no plans to bring these cars in the Indian market as of now.

One more model that will be much awaited among the car enthusiasts at the Delhi auto expo is the concept version of its upcoming sports utility vehicle, which will be launched in the Indian market next year. The SUV has been designed and developed by Maruti’s Research & Development center in India in conjunction with engineers at Suzuki Motors in Japan.
