Maruti Ertiga MPV launched at the Auto Expo 2012

Yesterday Night Maruti Suzuki Launched Ertiga good quality and better milage. The Ertiga MPV is Maruti’s first ever diesel MPV and comes with the choice of both 5 as well 7 seat options. That said, the MPV will also be available in a petrol engined option with Maruti Suzuki bringing the first 1.4 liter K-series petrol engine to India through the Ertiga.


This engine is highly acclaimed for reliability, refinement, performance as well as fuel economy and should be a good performer and better quality in the Ertiga as well. Transmission options are limited to a five speed manual transmission for both the petrol and diesel engine variants. The Ertiga will be available in three variants each, for the petrol and the diesel. Petrol variants include LXI, VXI and ZXI while the diesel variants include LDi, VDi and ZDi. Both the top end variants of the petrol and diesel Ertiga get ABS an airbags as standard piece of kit.


Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Outstanding fuel economy is said to be the high point of the Ertiga. Maruti claims a high 16.02 Kmpl for the petrol variant while the diesel is said to deliver 20.77 Kmpl, both figures ARAI certified. The Ertiga also comes with steering mounted controls and rear AC vents.  Flexible seating options with a split middle row will make the Ertiga a practical choice as both a 5 or 7 seat option depending on the needs of the buyer. The Ertiga is expected to be positioned below the likes of the Innova-Xylo-Grande trio and is expected to arrive with a competitive price tag between 7-9 lakh rupees.
